Who We Are
We are a husband-and-wife wetland boundary delineation and mitigation bank establishment team. Our names are John and Maria. We have over 20 years of experience in working with wetlands and natural resources projects in WI.
John has been identifying upland and wetland plants in both Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for over 30 years. He has received special training for the Rare Plant Monitoring Program, sponsored by WDNR, and the Natural Heritage Inventory Program.
Maria has worked as an engineer for USDA, Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly SCS, in WI. During her career with SCS, she worked in 27 WI counties. She has also worked for WI DATCP as the State Drainage Engineer with technical oversight of the activities in over 200 legal drainage districts, located in 36 counties in WI. The work with NRCS and WI DATCP has given her extensive experience with soils, hydrology, site evaluations, surveying, mapping and design. It has also given her experience working with various federal, state, and local agency personnel. Maria is listed on the US Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), Wetland Consultants list for WI & MN.
Since a number of the counties in Central Wisconsin are located within the WI Karner Blue Butterfly Habitat High Potential Regulatory Range, we have been certified as Karner Blue Butterfly Monitors.
In order to provide our clients with the highest quality of work and to keep abreast of current state and federal requirements and new scientific information, we take continuing education courses on an annual basis. Our high commitment to quality work and the resulting report is evidenced by the fact that we have always been able to obtain a concurrence for our wetland boundary delineation from either WDNR or ACOE.
We are also members of the Botanical Club of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Wetland Association.
We make a wonderful team and we would like the opportunity to help you with your project’s wetland concerns.
